SilverClay is the trading name of Petra Lyon Ltd.
 The person behind SilverClay is Petra Wennberg. Petra is originally from the west coast in Sweden, but has been based in England for about 10 years.
Petra has been designing and making jewellery for several years, and finally left full time employment to focus completely on the jewellery and Art Clay about 4 years ago. Petra has spent the last 4 years setting up SilverClay as a comprehensive metal clay information centre, training new Art Clay instructors, and introducing Art Clay to a wider audience. And becoming a mum!
SilverClay is an official UK distributor of Art Clay. Our direct link with the manufacturer ensures we're always up-to-date on what's happening in the metal clay world.
Petra was one of the first Aida certified Art Clay Senior Instructors in the UK, trained directly by a Master Instructor from Aida in Japan. She is also a Certified PMC Artisan. Petra is passionate about metal clay, and regularly shares her knowledge and experience through this site and the SilverClay newsletter, as well as courses in her studio and around the UK. She's also organising the third Art Clay UK Conference which will take place at West Dean College in September 2008.

We are an internet shop and teaching studio, at this time we don't have any Art Clay retail premises open for the public. If you would like to come and visit the studio, please call to arrange a suitable time.
