SilverClay supplies top-quality tools to use with Art Clay, for jewellery making, and for general crafts: work sheets, pliers, cutters, knives, files, mini-drills, drill bits, brushes, rollers, and other small hand tools.
We’ve spent a lot of time researching and comparing different manufacturers and tools before making our selection. All the tools have been chosen for their engineering excellence and clean functionality, to make your work easier.
I wanted to supply tools I would be happy to use myself. I wanted my company to provide good quality tools, rather than the cheapest; I wanted them to be good value for money.
You'll enjoy using good tools rather than continually improvising. They'll help you manage a creative and efficient work environment. And they'll last a long time.

Ultra Clay pick
The Ultra Clay Pick has an extremely fine tip that cuts through clay like a laser. The perfect tool for working with templates. Most needle tools sold for working with metal clay are actually knotting needles made for stringing pearls and other beads on silk or cord. While they are perfect for knotting and some metal clay tasks, they are a poor choice for cutting out clay because they have a thick tip that distorts clay when used as a cutting tool. Well, this is a precision cutting tool. Look at how much smaller the tip is than the pro-needle tool. You'll be amazed and delighted with this simple tool. Tip is case-hardened spring tool steel mounted into a no-roll handle. Overall length of tool is 6".

3M WetorDry™ Polishing Papers
3M™ Wetordry™ Polishing Papers are made from micron sized abrasive particles, slurry coated onto a non-woven synthetic backing. They are soft, cloth-like and paper thin, so wraps smoothly around your piece. You can also wrap the paper around a wooden stick, if you only want to polish the raised surfaces on your piece, for instance, if you have oxidised the piece. The precision micron grading provides a uniform, consistent finish. These are sometimes referred to as Tri-M-Ite papers.
They really give you the most fantastic mirror like finish on metal clay and silver. I mainly keep these for use on the fired silver, as the clay clogs them up too fast. Each sheet is 8 1/2" x 11" or 216x279mm.

15 Micron, US Grade 600, Grey, Silicone Carbide
3 Micron, US Grade 4000, Pink, Aluminium Oxide
1 Micron, US Grade 8000, Light Green, Aluminium Oxide
